Is the car park by St Agnes library always full? Do you struggle to get a space more often than not? Do you have any ideas on how we might free up spaces? Take our 2 minute survey here:

I think free overnight would be a good idea. Then maybe half hour free but chargeable after that. It is used a lot by parents doing the school run. Seems unfair to charge them and if they don’t park there congestion around the village during school drop off and collection times would be horrendous. Permits for business owners/local workers also a good idea.
I use the car park on the school run twice a day as I live in Mount Hawke. I am conscious of the congestion made for the residents if we all drive up to the school and try to educate my children of the importance of getting as much exercise as we can. However it has been harder to park and notice there are cars parked there permanently. I understand that residents parking is limited so we all need more space!!
My suggestion would be 30 mins free parking to cover those that want to use the library and and do the school run and anything longer than that pay and display . Residents will then will need a permit (maybe limited to per house hold), possibly for a small fee.
We have lost at least two disabled spaces in favour of cycle racks which do not appear to be used at all. Normal spaces….when available….are difficult for the disabled as we need to be able to open the door wide in order to get out without risk of falling. Also some people leave cars in the park permanently…even with For Sale notices on them . This should not be allowed.
It is always full I found it difficult to park. Not a problem for me now as I have given up driving
The car park should not be used as a permanent parking space. It would also help if the taxi waited somewhere outside the car park not taking up a space in it. Maybe a maximum of a 2 hour stay could work.
