At a Human Resources Committee meeting on Friday 13th March, the Parish Council’s plan for its activities in the event of disruption caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) was discussed and adopted. It is can be read here. In short, if it is felt necessary by the Clerk and the Chair of the Council and the Chair of the HR Committee, the Parish Council could initiate the cessation of normal Council activity. The document outlines what this will look like – and it may include closure of the library and the Council office.
The Parish Council is also installing hand sanitizer dispensers at the Council meeting room and at the library – however due to shortages these are unlikely to be in place for some time.
To be clear – the Parish Council is operating as normal at the time of writing and there is no decision to change this at the moment.

Hi, in the absence of sanitizer, which is not very effective anyway, the library staff could make up a solution of 10 drops of tea tree oil to 100 ml of water or double up. Put in a dispenser and leave on library desk. Tea Tree is the best anti bacterial, anti viral essence there is.
Thanks Jenny. This is really useful to know. I will pass this on to the Library Manager for his information.
